These initial photos and words have
come from a photo album and scrapbook kindly loaned to me by George
Mudgway's widow Ena From what I can find George rode through the war years up to 1949 in speedway. Riding thoughout New Zealand & Australia with a season in England, for the Odsal Boomerangs in 1947. He also rode grasstrack, TT racing and Mud Trials as well as being a stock car driver. Retired from speedway racing, I remember him as NZ Speedway Control Board Referee at Auckland's Western Springs Speedway in the sixties. These photos and cuttings from Ena's scrapbook are in no particular order as yet. As I gather more information I will rearrange the pages
